A Global Shapers Pittsburgh Project

EVERY DISH
CAME FROM
SOMEWHERE

A Pittsburgh dinner series. One restaurant, one table, and the people who carried the recipe here telling you how it arrived.

How a Night Runs

THE EVENING IS THE MENU

Three parts, in order, every time. The format is fixed so the food and the people can change.

First Course

Arrive and Sit Down

No name tags at the door and no working the room. Assigned seats, mixed tables, and a first course already on the way.

Second Course

Someone Tells You Where It Came From

The owner, the cook, or a family member takes fifteen minutes between courses. Not a lecture. What the dish is, who made it first, and how it got to Pittsburgh.

Third Course

Questions, Then Dessert

Open floor while the last plates come out. Most nights this runs longer than the talk did.

Seatings

WHERE WE ARE EATING NEXT

GET ON THE LIST

We announce each seating to the list a week before it goes public. Tables are small, so that week matters.

We email about seatings only. Two or three messages a month at most.

For Restaurants & Partners

FILL YOUR SLOWEST NIGHT WITH PEOPLE WHO CAME TO LISTEN

CulturePGH books a private room or a closed section on a weeknight, brings a full table, and puts your story in front of it. You cook what you actually want to serve.

What We Ask

  • A weeknight, a room, and 25 to 30 covers
  • A set menu you choose, priced per head
  • Fifteen minutes from you or your family between courses
  • A headcount confirmation 48 hours out

What You Get

  • A booked room on a night that is usually quiet, paid at the table
  • Photography from the night, yours to use

  • A room of guests who leave knowing your name

One of the project leads replies within a few days. No obligation on a first call.
